The GEL-NYC PS (Preschool) draws inspiration from tradition and modern performance running shoes.

Its upper refers to the GEL-NIMBUS 3 from the early 2000s, to which decorative design elements from the GEL-MC PLUS V have been added. These influences are combined with leather overlays for a modern look.

The sole was also developed based on data collected by the ASICS Institute of Sport Science: it is more flexible in the forefoot and offers greater midfoot stability to support children's growing feet. Its design is inspired by older ASICS models, combining the flowing lines and wavy edges of the 2000s and 2010s.
